Glass Desk – The glass tables are always interesting because of their lightness. We refer to visual lightness, what they weigh or stop weighing is a practical issue that we are not going to address today. This is because the crystal is transparent and as such let’s light in, visually occupying little space. A glass table is not an obstacle to seeing what is behind it; a featureless interesting when you want to decorate a small space and/or we are interested in a room that is not overloaded with furniture. In our office or workplace can do a great job, also providing modernity.
The glass desk is not the most common in the offices. And it’s not because they do not have favorable characteristics. In addition to being light, they bring an aura of modernity to the undeniable room. They also adapt to rooms of different styles, both industrial and classic, to name two. That being the case, why is it unusual to find a glass desk in the office? The truth is that just as we associate this type of tables with positive characteristics, we could associate others that are not so positive. The glass is a fragile and “cold” material that brings a certain seigniorial/formal air to the spaces. In order to create more welcoming environments, glass is usually combined with other materials.
Sometimes steel or metal legs are used to enhance that modern look and give it an industrial turn. It is also common to find glass countertops next to wooden drawers, in order to gain warmth. As you can see in the images, the glass desks can become protagonists of very different workspaces, sober spaces in black and white, warm spaces with wood as the protagonist and modern spaces decorated with accessories in bright colors like yellow. Glass is a material with which we can achieve different shapes, colors, and combinations so it becomes a very versatile option to create personalized glass desk.
